The Robert Stephenson Centre
Dott 07 resides in The Robert Stephenson Centre (RSC), Sussex Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Robert Stephenson (1803 - 1859), an MP and North East entrepreneur, was one of the founding fathers of the railway age. Robert Stephenson designed and built the Rocket, the first passenger locomotive. The RSC is the original boiler and plate house where Robert Stephenson carried out a lot of his work.
The Robert Stephenson Trust use the original office at the back of the building for their headquarters.
The building, almost 200 years old, is an amazing space as you can see from the images below. These images were taken in September 2006.
