In Design Camp designers and artists developed sustainable tourism ideas in four locations across North East England. The results of the Design Camp will be piloted as temporary real-life experimental projects as part of the Dott 07 Festival in October.

The design recommendations that are the outcome of the Design and Sexual Health (DaSH) project are available to download. DaSH lead by Design Options in collaboration with Gateshead PCT and the Centre for Design Research, Northumbria University used the best service design techniques to develop a sexual health service for Gateshead.

Dott 07 Debates: What next? Welcomes Exhibition Our Cyborg Futures: Me or Machine?

During the Dott 07 Festival, a series of debates 'Dott 07 Debates: What next?' will enable the senior producers of the Dott 07 projects to discuss openly with the audience aspects and lessons taken from the projects and what practical steps to take next on the journey to One Planet Living.

See the Programme of Debates. Times and dates are subject to change. The debates are free, but numbers are limited and you will need to book in advance. An online registration form will be available soon. Come along, stand up and be heard!

Welcomes explores our thoughts, ideas and experiences on what makes us feel welcome, what makes a place welcoming and how we make others feel welcome.

The Welcomes exhibition takes place at the Transporter Bridge from 9 - 12 August and within the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre until 30 August.

We'll post the best images and videos produced by the people of Tees Valley on the website as soon as they're delivered. The finished media will also feature in the Dott 07 Festival in October.

Get down to the Great Hall at the Discovery Museum, in Newcastle, from 10 August for Our Cyborg Futures: Me or Machine?

Cyborg is an eye-opening, interactive show that looks at the shrinking divide between us and the technology we use. The exhibition will range from robots designed to help elderly people, state-of-the-art devices for health, care, fashion and sport, to devices that connect our minds to communication networks.

The exhibition takes place between 10 August - 27 October at the Victorian Great Hall in Newcastle’s Discovery Museum.

If you are a Tees Valley resident get ready for a huge celebration of local food and art at 'The Really Super Market', due to take place in Middlesbrough on 22 September.

During the festivities growers, friends, families, lovers and the general public will be able to enjoy a fantastic feast of local produce in the main square in front of Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA). Produce for the event is growing right now in Dott Grow Zones across the town.

The latest Kitchen Playground (KP) took place in Hemlington with Father Desicks. Last month Andreas Korovessis visited Ormesby School, re-create his recipes. The final KP is due next month with local chef David Hall.

If you would like to find out how to take part, please contact: Ian Collingwood tel: 01642 729083.

Over the past 15 months, Live|Work has stripped bare the existing transport available to the residents of Scremerston and now the design team are testing out three main solutions to help Scremerston villagers get to more local services with less CO2, less grief and more community spirit. One solution is lift-sharing, another is a new colour-coded, easy-to-read timetable, developed with Arriva and the local community, that promises to make the Scremerston bus service more user-friendly.

Recently Live|Work visited Scremerston First School to involve the students in a design activity. Year 3's brainstormed sustainable alternatives of travelling to and from school and designed posters to demonstrate their ideas. Find out what happened when Richard and Melanie from Live|Work took over the class and get the latest on the project in the Dott blog.
