Over the past 15 months, Live|Work has stripped bare the existing transport available to the residents of Scremerston and now the design team are testing out three main solutions to help Scremerston villagers get to more local services with less CO2, less grief and more community spirit. One solution is lift-sharing, another is a new colour-coded, easy-to-read timetable, developed with Arriva and the local community, that promises to make the Scremerston bus service more user-friendly.
Recently Live|Work visited Scremerston First School to involve the students in a design activity. Year 3's brainstormed sustainable alternatives of travelling to and from school and designed posters to demonstrate their ideas. Find out what happened when Richard and Melanie from Live|Work took over the class and get the latest on the project in the Dott blog.
